New Era Dawns in the world of communication education in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

The Association of Communication Teachers (ACT-TNP) was started today morning 11.45 am at Madras to promote and protect the interests of the discipline of communication and the stakeholders, particularly, students, teachers and researchers in the state of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.     dear all
    i wish to bring this to the notice and further immediate action by our members..
    the fact that there is inequal competition among commn qualified and not so qualified faculty members in the TRB..
    it is suggested, recommended and urged to plunge into immediate action for the obvious benefits of the aspirants..
    as regards the qualification.. for the 18 posts in commn, it is categorically stated that only people with a two year regular pg programme in commn, vis com, mass comm, electronic media alone need to apply
    no cross discipline candidates..

    if the experience is to be accounted, it should be after the completion of the PG course.. from any one of the above mentioned..not dftech .. not counting the teaching service as well as studying pg prog by corres..

    this takes us to the next important issue..
    the question of corres courses..

    as obtained in the SC as ruling that open univ deg cannot be shown to take promotion, get a job etc..

    unless this is done.. it will be difficult to stem the rot...

    the experience of scholars with commn background can not be treated on par with say.. a visual artist and designer..

    they should be given half of the weightage that might have been given to the communication

    an interim stay for the action to fulfill the vacancies,, shd be obtained by the candidates for the post..

    later on, ACT TNP can implead into the case ,
